Who we are

OnlyPlans is a free tool for turning “we should hang out” into an actual plan. You sign in with a verified email and a one-time code (no password), and you choose a display name for each group you join.

What we collect

To make plans work, OnlyPlans stores:

• Your email address, for your account and to send you sign-in codes.
• Group and plan names you create.
• Options, meaning the what, when, and where you add to a plan.
• The display name you choose in each group. You pick it once, and it can be a nickname.
• Votes, reactions, and “I’m in” taps, so the group can see who is in.
• A coarse read of your IP address, used to slow down spam and abuse (rate limiting).

What lives on your device

To keep you signed in and save you from re-typing things, OnlyPlans keeps a little state on your device:

• A session cookie, so you stay signed in between visits.
• The groups you’ve opened (onlyplans:groups), so you can find your way back to them.

This stays on your device unless you act on it, and clearing your browser data clears it.

Your account across devices

Signing in with the same email on a new device brings back every group your account belongs to; you don’t need the original links again. That also means reaching your inbox reaches your groups, so treat email access with the same care you’d treat the group links themselves.

Who can see your plans

The link is the access. A group link and a plan link are unguessable, but anyone who has one can see the names, votes, and reactions on it. If you forward a link, you’re handing over that access. Share group links like you’d share the group chat itself.

Because of that, your display name is visible to everyone with the link. Your email address is not. There’s no anonymous voting, and OnlyPlans shows you this before your first vote, so it’s never a surprise.

Email

Your email address is used to send you sign-in codes today. Notifications are a separate feature that isn’t on yet; if they ship, OnlyPlans will only email you for the things you turned on, and every email will have a one-tap unsubscribe.

Where your data is stored

OnlyPlans runs on Supabase (the database) and Vercel (the app), on their standard infrastructure, which may store and process data in the United States.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can remove options and plans yourself inside the app, which deletes their votes and reactions along with them. For integrity, the backend keeps an append-only record of votes so tallies can’t be quietly altered, but the app only ever shows current votes and never announces that someone changed their mind.

Your choices

You can edit or remove plans and options yourself. You pick your display name the first time you vote, react, or say you’re in a group, and you can change it any time on your account page. Clearing your browser data signs you out and forgets your groups.

Kids

OnlyPlans isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update the date at the top, and we’ll say so clearly for anything that affects you.
